Re: If statement based on section

Hi Abhilash,

Thanks for replying, i'll see if I can explain my situation a bit better. I should also note my report is set to be displayed with multiple columns across.

I have two tables, Regular and Petite. They are both structured the exact same, the only difference is that one table contains regular sized clothing while the other contains petite sized.

One of the requirements for my report is that regular and petite are displayed on the same page but after the regular sized information is shown then on a NEW LINE petite is shown thus I can't simply just join the tables and and then group them. (Unless you know of how to break groups into different lines).

In any case rather than simply dragging the fields from each table into the appropriate details section for each I am trying to make a formula that says if this record is located in details a, then show this data from "regular" and likewise if this record is located in details b then show data from "petite". The reason behind this is that I can simply place my formulas in one section, format them the way I want and then just paste the formulas in the section below.

In the end my report will look like something below.

-----------------------------------

|  r  r  r  r  r  r  r  r  r  r  r  r  |

|  r  r  r  r                           |

|  p  p  p  p  p  p  p  p        |
|                                        |

----------------------------------

Sorry if this is confusing. My old reports simply just had the data grouped into one table but this is the only way I can see being able to accomodate having each "group" on a new line.

Thanks again,

Christian
