You can do it in 2 ways as mentioned below.

1) You can use EPMInsertCellsBeforeAfterBlock function to achieve this variance.

2) Manually insert the columns for Variance after each Time Period and calculate the variance using Excel formulas. Now, go to Options ---> Sheet Options ----> Check 'Activate Local Member Recognition'
