Sybase IQ 15.4 Client side load on Linux using JDBC iAnywhere driver
Hi I am trying to do client side load on Linux and getting the following error:
Exceptioninthread"main"java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/local/libdbdb12_r.so:libdbtasks12_r.so:cannotopensharedobjectfile:Nosuchfileordirectory
I am using iAnywhere driver as shown below
Class.forName("ianywhere.ml.jdbcodbc.jdbc3.IDriver") //to load this driver I am using jodbc.jar which comes under IQ15 client java folder
My jdbc url is given below:
String jdbcURL = "jdbc:ianywhere:driver=libdbodbc_r.so;UID=user;PWD=pass;DBN=sMDNC;eng=IQSR1;" +
"CommLinks=tcpip{host=xyz.com;port=2345}";
I am also setting LD_LIBRARY path to /home/local where libdbodb_r.so file is residing but still getting error. Please help I am new to Sybase IQ.

Getwidth() doesn't retrieve width when control is set to auto?
I think this is intentional, that when the width is auto getwidth returns -1, but I'm confused as to what sort of value add this is? It would be very useful to be able to grab the width (or height) of an object and use that to drive other calculations. I am sure that it's possible for the Developers to enable this, is there any reason why it hasn't been done? Meanwhile is there a work-around where I can somehow retrieve this information?

WIS 10901 Insufficient information
Hello experts,
I'm getting this error when trying to créate a query with Web Intelligence on a Universe created with IDT from an Excel file with ODBC driver and published to the repository which is a Win Server 2012. I made both system DSN Excel driver 32 bits opened from SySWOW64, in the local machine that created the universe and on the server where is published.
When I run the query the error says: Database error: (Microsoft) (ODBC Excel driver) (general error) Insufficient information to connect with this DSN throw SQLConnect. Use SQLDriverConnect.
What this means? How do I use SQLDriverConnect to make this work?

Not Able to delete data from internal table to Data Base Table in table control
Dear All,
I am working on table control, i am looking to delete the data of z-table if that data is being deleted from table control. I have created a table control, in that data is coming form three tables. 2 of them are z-table and one is standard table. now what i want is, if we select a row fro table control and press delete, in that case it will delete the data from all the 3 tables. but in my case its only deleting the data from the final internal table in which i have saved the data from three database tables. So kindly suggest.

Re: Shared Variables behavior long ago
A shared variable is implicitly private so you would need getter/setter functions if you needed to access it from an unrelated object. They are not needed to access the variable within the object.
Other than that, it is like an instance variable that is shared between all instances of the object.
I don't remember anything about a proxy instance. Perhaps you are thinking about the undocumented indirect keyword.

Value based VAT rate for India
Hello SD Gurus,
I have a requirement for one of my Retail Clients to create a VAT Condition which switches rates based on the Sales Value. I need help to configure this.
e.g Standard VAT rate 12.5% should apply for a Product with Sales Value upto INR 5625.00. The VAT rate should be 20% for the same Product when the Sales Value goes above 5625.00 INR (This is a regular scenario in retail space. a Product may normally sell for 6000 INR (taxable at 20%) but can be discounted during a Sale bringing it down to less than 5625.00 (taxable at 12.5%)

It is important to know how it was created, as duplicates can usually not exist technically. This would lead to a dump, hence your 2 batches must be different technically.

Re: POWL: 'Define New Query' - Does it always save the last entered values?
Yes this the standard POWL behaviour.
if we need to reset the query you can run the report POWL_D01 by giving application id and user name, you can delete the queries which are buffered here.
Creation of new query is nothing but applying the selection criteria so it will only filter the data, the underlying logic will be same.

In my mind, the Export to Excel feature should produce a report as formatted and ready to print as the PDF output, at least for our web app. If the user wanted just a data dump, we have an Excel plug-in for that.
